Singapore Airlines A380 Business Class, largest seat ever

Singapore Airlines A380 Business Class, largest seat ever
Flying Business Class can be sometimes frustrating, a kind of in-between with Economy and First classes where you are not considered as a cheap traveler but not really as a VIP neither. Singapore Airlines A380 Business Class explodes this concept and goes far beyond.

Since many years Singapore Airlines is trusting the podium of annual Skytrax awards for both its Business and First classes, this company is a legend in term of luxury flight services with a high level of exigency and excellence. Beyond the service quality, Singapore Airlines A380 Business Class is no comparison with competitors thanks to its huge leather seat in a 1-2-1 configuration ; this cabin layout is really exceptional for a Business class – actually it could even challenge some First classes – and brings the company at top of market. Did I mention the in-flight cellular and data network?

As I wrote before, both the seat and the 1-2-1 configuration are amazing. Located at the upper floor of the aircraft, Singapore Airlines A380 Business Class consists of a very wide leather seat that turns into a full-flat bed for night flights. The 15-inch screen is very convenient – even if a bit too close, in my opinion – with plenty of plugs for USB devices and lot of entertainment options thanks to KrisWorld system ; so far it’s the largest movie selection I ever had in a plane. Materials and color tones are quite unique, they give a smart chic atmosphere to the cabin and match perfectly crew’s uniform! Ok, this is my fashion approach of the review :)

Catering

Singapore Airlines proposes a Book the Cook service – complimentary – that allows First and Business passengers to choose their meal among a 60 dishes selection 48h before boarding. Anyway, in-flight menu is good enough to enjoy an epicurean experience through a full table service!

PVG to SIN, day flight on A380 in September 2015.
