The Mira Hong Kong, a world of design

The Mira Hong Kong, a world of design
Boldness is something that not often goes hand in hand with luxury hotel concepts. This is absolutely not the case of The Mira Hong Kong and its awarded design, certainly one of the most surprising in the city.

A world of urban luxury and cutting-edge design, this is the description of The Mira Hong Kong. Located in the heart of Tsim Sha Tsui and overlooking Kowloon Park, it’s a perfect situation for entertainment, shopping and visit the rest of Hong Kong thanks to the very close MTR station ; both tourists and business travelers will enjoy.

Living

The Mira Hong Kong - Function Rooms

The Mira Hong Kong – Function Rooms

The Mira Hong Kong spaces have been design in a very modern way from the lobby to the gorgeous Spa – pure, contemporary, evanescent – that take you into another world, a parenthesis from the busy city by designers Charles Allem and William Lim. In addition the hotel hosts a shopping mall, several bars and restaurants, an impressive courtyard with a chicha bar for hipsters and a stunning Club at 15th floor with complimentary lounge access for its guests. The overall atmosphere is very warm with peaceful tones – including the conceptual indoor pool – and is really an invitation for a urban retreat ; to achieve such a getaway, I recommend to enjoy a Sleepless in Hong Kong signature treatment at MiraSpa, a true gem.

Room

The Mira Hong Kong - Parkview Room

The Mira Hong Kong – Parkview Room

Parkview Rooms offer a very pleasant full view over Kowloon Park – the perfect wake-up scenery – with an interior design in the continuity of The Mira Hong Kong common areas ; premium furnitures and materials. I especially like the Egg Chair by Arne Jacobsen as well as the glass bathroom with its walk-in shower and bathtub. Each room embeds a complimentary handy smartphone device with unlimited international calls and 3G data connectivity ; something very useful!

Dining

The Mira Hong Kong - Cuisine Cuisine signature dish

The Mira Hong Kong – Cuisine Cuisine signature dish

We enjoyed an amazing degustation dinner at Cuisine Cuisine – a fine-dining restaurant serving Cantonese and Chinese delicacies by Chef Jayson Tang – including two award-winning dishes, a crab meat with black truffle and sturgeon caviar in pumpkin soup for starter and dried shrimp steamed with minced pork and preserved vegetable as one of main course ; simply delicious. Then we had buffet breakfast at Yamm which offer full range of international food in a cosy-chic ambience and decor.

Level of exigency

You will receive a very good level of service quality at The Mira Hong Kong, above the usual business hotel level and actually more than what I was expecting. Reception staff is brilliant, restaurant waiters are faultless and the housekeeping invisible ; just perfect. Special thanks to the friendly MiraSpa team and their Manager, Connie Lam!
