A rejuvenation journey at Peninsula Paris Spa

A rejuvenation journey at Peninsula Paris Spa
Paris hosts lot of luxury Spas but only a few are able to transport guests to a world of relaxation and rejuvenation, creating a parenthesis from the busy urban metropolis. Peninsula Paris Spa is definitely one of them thanks to its lush building and amazing indoor pool.

Whatever you go through the impressive Avenue Kleber entrance or the discreet side lobby, you are immediately greeted by doormen in uniform who can help to find your way. Peninsula Paris Spa is located on basement and is really a world apart: pure design with wooden tones and furnitures which is different from the rest of the building – consisting in a mix of Haussman and modern-Asian interior style – as well as dedicated Spa staff uniform.

After a smooth iPad check-in, you are accompanied to the waiting lounge where welcome amenities are served – hot tea and sweet delicacies – while the therapist is setting up your treatment room. Then coming from outside I obviously had to go to changing room to put bathrobe and slippers ; special mention to the Thermal Suite there with its own sauna and hammam only for men, just perfect to relax before or after a treatment.

For my 60-min Aromatherapy Massage, I had an introduction of ESPA products and been asked to choose among a selection of essential oils ; our choice was the lemon-based one, the most rejuvenating according to our therapist. She was French, young, very talented and I experimented probably my best massage since many years! At the end of the journey, you can go to the Relaxation room to continue enjoying your treatment or take a rest at the pool area for an additional cost (including access to the Fitness center).

My overall Peninsula Paris Spa experience really gave me a break from the busy city in an atmosphere of luxury and serenity ; this is what you can expect when you pass the entrance of a true Parisian Palace.

Visited in August 2015 – Sponsorized media visit, but this article reflects 100% of my opinion and thoughts.

The treatment described is a 60-min Aromatherapy Massage, which public rate is 170 EUR.
